The goal is to create a worldwide network of sisterhood that’s geared toward promoting unity & cultural pride as well as self love & self-sufficiency. Our vision is to make it so that in every neighborhood, all the Black Women & girls know each other and therefore, have the ability to support, uplift and enjoy the company of each other. There is so much common ground between us all that is worth bonding over, regardless of what differences we may have. There’s often an unspoken urge to connect when we cross paths, that may be accompanied by an awkwardness or apprehension that could keep us from extending ourselves. Braided Beams breaks the ice by presenting opportunities for us to spend quality time, doing things that feed our Soul. By basing our programs around Black-GIRLhood, we create an environment that is joyful by nature with little to no room for negativity. Plus, it gives us, as Black Women, great ways to bond with & pour into the little Black Girls in our lives. We all have at least one; whether it’s our daughters, God-daughters, little sisters, nieces, little cousins, or simply our own inner child- Braided Beams wants to encourage them all to shine through & unite!
